MCP2200 - RTS and CTS Tied Together

Can RTS and CTS pins be tied together on the MCP2200?

The RTS and CTS pins on the MCP2200 can be connected together. The difference is whether you want to activate the hardware flow control or not. If you do not activate the hardware flow control, there should be no issue to connect them. However, if you activate the hardware flow control, there might be some limitations regarding the data transmitted when using speeds higher than 500 Kbps, meaning the throughput can lower by ~10%.
