Selecting an Oscillator for MCP2515

We recommend using the same or similar crystal as 'Y1' in the "MCP2515 PICtail™ Plus Daughter Board User's Guide".

From Abracon, part number ABM3B-20.000MHZ-B2-T is used. Make sure to test the setup as described in the MCP2515 datasheet. Under the "Capacitor Selection for Crystal Oscillator" table, Note 4 reads:

"Always verify oscillator performance over the VDD and temperature range that is expected for the application."
