Can an internal oscillator be used in ECAN™ module?

We recommend an external crystal oscillator with an accuracy of at least 0.5%. The Bosch Specification says the accuracy needs to be at least ±0.5%. It also has design recommendations that allow you to extend that accuracy to 1.5%. Most, if not all, Microchip supplied code examples expect an external crystal oscillator in order to ensure compliance with these specifications. However, certain microcontrollers have internal oscillators that meet these specifications. Please refer to the device datasheet for detailed specifications.
