How can I change the MAC address using the Harmony TCP/IP stack?

There are two ways to change the MAC address used in the MPLAB® Harmony framework. You can change it using the MPLAB® Harmony Configurator (MHC), or modify a source file directly.

1

To configure the MAC address using MHC, expand the following selection tree:
Harmony Framework Configuration > TCPIP Stack > Use TCP\IP Stack? > Network Configuration 0
Enter the MAC address you want to use in the Mac Address text box.

2

To configure the MAC address by modifying the source file, open the system_config.h file. This file can be found in the Projects window under the following folder:
Header Files > app > system_config > default

Search (Ctrl + F) for "MAC_ADDR" to find this line of code:
#define TCPIP_NETWORK_DEFAULT_MAC_ADDR_IDX0 0

Change the 0 to the MAC address you want to use, using the following format:
11:22:33:44:55:66
