PHY Magnetics for KSZ9031 - Migration from KSZ9021

In a previous design we used KSZ9021, which is now "not recommended for new designs", and it was using Bel Fuse. Now we need to migrate to a more up-to-date part. Can we use the same Bel Fuse for the KSZ9031?

Yes. A board schematic is available on the KSZ9031MNX EVAL BOARD product page and a "KSZ9021GN to KSZ9031MNX Migration Guide" is available on the KSZ9031MNX EVAL BOARD product page.

The Magnetics Selection Criteria is the same (inductance = 350 uH). Per "Section 12.0 Magnetics" of the KSZ9031MNZ datasheet, Bel Fuse and HALO magnetics are recommended.
