How do I change the Status LED behavior on a BMxx board (BM77, BM78)?
In order to change the default behavior of the Status LED, you must create a configuration file for the module which can then be programmed into the configuration memory on the module.
Please download the "BM77 Configuration Tools and Application Notes" from the BM77 product page under Documents > Software.
Extract the files, open the UI folder, then execute the BM77SPP03 UI v301.107.exe application. Load a configuration file (it can be the default one which is inside the folder) and then click Edit. On the top of the application, there is a tab called 'LED Setup'. This is where you can change the behavior of the Status LED. When you are finished, click Finish and save the configuration file.
In order to program the new configuration into the module, open the Write EEPROM Tool folder, then execute the E2PROM_tool_120820_64K.exe application. More information and instructions about the UI and EEPROM Tools are found in the UI+EEPROM Getting Started.txt file inside the archive.
