MPLAB® X IDE Watch Window Format

By default, the 'Value' column in the Variables or Watch windows show the ASCII representation of array elements. If your data is not valid ASCII data, the IDE simply represents it as a NULL.

You can force the 'Value' to display as another format by right-clicking on the 'Value' column and selecting the format you want (e.g., 'hexadecimal').
