Does the SST38VF6402 offer complete flash write protection or sector flash write protection?

The SST38VF6402 allows uniform block protection (volatile and non-volatile protection) using software commands and also allows hardware protection using the /WP pin. Refer to the device datasheet for the memory map. The block protection for this device is done at the block level (32 Kword) which equals to eight (4 Kword) sectors.

The SST38VF6403 and SST38VF6404 offer non-uniform hardware block protection where two sectors on the top or bottom respectively can be protected using hardware protection i.e., with the /WP pin.
