Open an Existing MPLAB® Harmony v3 Project

This page shows you how to open one of the many demonstration application projects that are included in the MPLAB® Harmony framework.

Before doing this, you'll need to do the following:

In MPLAB X Integrated Development Environment (IDE), select File > Open Project.

Demonstration applications come with most libraries. These can be found in each library's apps folder. Browse to the firmware folder (as shown below) to find all evaluation boards that support the application. Select your evaluation board and click Open Project.

Before proceeding further, make sure the Harmony Content Path is set properly. Harmony Content Path is where you have downloaded the Harmony repositories.
On MPLAB X IDE, go to Tools > Options. After opening the Options window, go to Plugins and set the proper Harmony Content Path.

After the project opens, start MPLAB Code Configurator (MCC). In MPLAB X IDE, select Tools > Embedded > MPLAB Code Configurator.

Tool Tip: You can also launch MCC by clicking the MCC button as shown here.

You will see the MCC Content Manager Wizard window.

Select MPLAB Harmony by clicking the Select MPLAB Harmony button

Click on the Finish button to launch MPLAB Code Configurator.

After successful loading, MCC opens the Project Graph, Resource Management, and Configuration Options windows.
