Installing Proteus VSM

Run Installer

Unzip the downloaded file and launch the installer PROTEUS-VSM-vX.XspX.exe by clicking on Run

Depending on your Windows security settings, you may get a window asking if you are sure you want to run this program. Answer "Yes".

Setup

Once the Setup Wizard appears, click on Next.

License Terms

Read the license terms and check the I accept the terms of this agreement box.

Click Next.

Typical vs Custom

Next, choose Typical as the installation you want.

Installation Progress

Immediately after that, the installation will begin. This process usually takes about a minute.

Complete

When you get to this screen, the installation has been successful.

Click Close.

Once Proteus has been installed you will need to install the Proteus plug-in in order for it to function properly with MPLAB® X IDE.
