Disconnect Tool

To disconnect the programming tool from the MPLAB® IPE, follow the steps below:

When the tool is connected to the IPE, all Command buttons including Program, Erase, Read, Verify, and Blank Check are available for you to use. To disconnect the tool, click the Disconnect button next to the Tool drop-down menu. See figure below:

After MPLAB® IPE has disconnected the tool, the Command buttons are no longer available and are grayed out. See figure below:

Note:
The firmware download will not occur until the connect or disconnect button is clicked, or a programming operation is performed.
