Password Change

In the MPLAB® IPE, you can change the password after the initial log on:

1. Advanced Mode Dialog Box

Click Settings from the MPLAB® IPE menu, then click Advanced Mode. See figure below:

2. Changing Password

Advanced Mode Login dialog box appears. Click on Change Password. See figure below:

The Change Password dialog box then appears. Enter Current password, New password, and Confirm new password. Click Change password to complete the process. See figure below:

If you forget the new password, you must: uninstall the IPE, delete the ipe.key file (located in the IPE install directory) to remove any settings made previously in IPE, and then reinstall the IPE to begin with the default password "microchip".

Select Remember Password during the Advanced Log on process. The password will be automatically entered the next time you log on to Advanced Mode. See figure below:
