The PIC32MX device is a complex System-on-Chip (SoC) that is based on the MIPS® M4K® microprocessor core. This page provides an overview of the system architecture and the features of PIC32 microcontrollers that include the M4K microprocessor core. The M4K cores are state of the art, 32-bit, low-power, Reduced Instruction Set Computer
(RISC) processor cores with the MIPS32® Release 2 Instruction Set Architecture (ISA).
