Installation Issues
For Windows operating systems, ensure that
- JLinkARM.dll
- SEGGERAccessLink.dll
are available in one of these locations after installation:
- c:\windows\system32 (32-bit OS)
- c:\windows\system32 (64-bit OS)
- c:\windows\sysWOW64 (64-bit OS)
Connection Issues
If you have connection issues, consider the following:
- Ensure you have a supported version of the probe. See J-Link Debug Probes Supported.
- Ensure your device is supported. See Supported Microchip Devices.
- Ensure you installed the probe and plugin properly. See Installation.
If these did not work for you, see Support.
General Issues
XPI-47: Error messages reported using MPLAB® X IDE and SEGGER plugin are cryptic.
XPI-49: MPLAB X IDE dashboard does not reflect the number of set breakpoints correctly using SEGGER J-Link probe. Even when a breakpoint is used, all breakpoints are shown as available.
XPI-51: Breakpoints set in the program memory with or without pass count do not halt the target.
