Debug Header Support Information

Debug headers require specific debug tools to operate with MPLAB® X IDE. Acquire these before purchasing a debug header, in an Processor Extension Pak (PEP). Available PEPs are listed here:

Tools Support

Debug headers are supported on the following tools:

  • PICkit™ 3 in-circuit debugger
  • MPLAB® ICD 3 in-circuit debugger
  • MPLAB® REAL ICE in-circuit emulator

Note: Not all features are supported on all tools.
