Download and Install MPLAB® X IDE

In this self-paced class, we will be focusing on the Windows® environment. All but one of the four hands-on exercises uses the MPLAB® simulator that comes with the MPLAB X installer. One lab will use either the Explorer 16 demo board and debugger or a third-party MPLAB X plugin to simulate the debugger and demo board. At this time, the free plugin only runs on the Windows platform. If you will be using hardware tools or plan to bypass the one hardware lab, you can find, download, and install MPLAB X IDE for Mac OS® or Linux® instead.
