Guide for Slider Sensor Design when using Modular QTouch® Library

This article provides guidelines to design a self-capacitance slider. A suitable design should be chosen based on the width requirements of the slider. This slider design should be used when using START based QTouch® Modular Library.

When using Atmel Studio based QTouch library, the slider design guidelines provided in "Section 5" of the "Buttons, Sliders and Wheels Sensor Design Guide" should be used. For mutual capacitance slider design, refer to "Section 6" of the "Buttons, Sliders and Wheels Sensor Design Guide".

Note: The Y line numbers indicated in the images represent the order only and NOT the actual PTC Y lines. The PTC Y line can be connected in any order.
