Atmel START: Using the SAM E54 Event System with RTC, ADC, USART and DMA - Step 1

Step 1.1: Create an Atmel START project using Atmel Studio IDE

Atmel START is a web based tool, please make sure you have internet connection before you start.

Open Atmel Studio and create a new project by selecting File > New > Atmel Start Project.

A new Atmel START tab is opened in Atmel Studio as shown in the following image.

Type SAME54 in the 'Filter on device' search field and select 'SAM E54 Xplained Pro board'.

Add 'ADC' and 'Event System' peripheral drivers to the project (Increment instance to '1' by clicking on upper arrow instance.png.

Add 'Timer' and 'USART' peripheral drivers to the project (Increment instance to '1' by clicking on upper arrowinstance.png .

Verify whether the device and all selected drivers are added.

Click on CREATE NEW PROJECT.

Atmel START starts creating the project.

After the project creation and successfully adding drivers, the interface should look like the image below:
