SAM 4E Xplained Pro Evaluation Kit

The SAM4E Xplained Pro evaluation kit uses an ATSAM4E16E (Cortex®-M4 based) microcontroller. It has three expansion headers (extension boards sold separately) and one connector for mounting an LCD display extension board. It also has a user pushbutton and LED, and an RJ45 connector for 10/100 Mbps Ethernet.

This board has an on-board programmer/debugger. No external programmer/debugger (e.g., SAM-ICE™) is required.

I/O1 Xplained Pro Extension Kit

The I/O1 Xplained Pro is an extension board to the Xplained Pro evaluation platform. It includes a microSD™ card, a temperature sensor, a light sensor, and more.

Advanced Software Framework v3 (ASF3) example projects for this board

Many ASF3 example projects exist for this board. To see a list of all these projects:

  1. Open the Atmel Studio IDE
  2. Select: File > New > Example Project
  3. In the Device Family drop-down window, select: 'SAM4E'
