Can I remove the license from my machine to install on a newer machine?

The MPLAB® XC compiler license is tied to the MAC address of the machine. There is no way for a user to move the license from one machine to another.

A workstation license allows activation on up to three machines per user. However, if you have run out of activations and want to move a license from an older/retiring machine to a newer machine, you can either write to moc.pihcorcim|gnisnecilws#moc.pihcorcim|gnisnecilws, or open a ticket. Be sure to include the MAC address of the machine that you are retiring.
