How do you enable audio output on I²S™ using an RN52 module?

To enable the audio output on I²S™, the host MCU has to send the S|,01 command over UART. The pins used are PCM_SYNC, PCM_CLK, PCM_IN, PCM_OUT.

If you have problems enabling the audio output on I²S, make sure that the module has the latest version of the firmware available. The firmware image, as well as instructions on how to update it, are available on the RN52 webpage.
