Can the Curiosity board be used in conjunction with Microchip Libraries for Applications (MLA) USB code examples?

The Curiosity board does not have USB capabilities. Even though the board has the D+/D- signals, the board does not have a Vbus. These signals exist because the Curiosity board has PICKit™-On-Board (PKOB) capability. Devices with PKOB enumerate as human interface devices (HID), but this interface is only for the programming circuitry, not for the microcontroller.

We suggest doing the following:

  • Check the Curiosity webpage for a list of supported devices.
  • Check the MLA installation folder for other boards with USB capabilities.
