How do you determine the differences between various versions of Bluetooth® firmware?

We recommend doing the following:

  • Read the Release Notes document available on the device webpage.
  • Read the User's Guide. Some device User's Guides have a special chapter where the main differences between versions of the firmware are described.
    • Example: For RN42, the main differences are available on the RN42 product page under "RN41/RN42 Bluetooth Data Module Command Reference User's Guide", Appendix C.
