How do you select which PIC® device to use on the MCP3911 evaluation board?

MCP3911 ADC Evaluation Board for 16-Bit MCUs Part Number: adm00398

The MCP3911 evaluation board can be populated with either of the two PIC® devices—U1 (originally not populated) or U10:U10:

  1. dsPIC33FJ256MC710
    • The dsPIC33FJ256MC710 is to be soldered onto the board at U1.
  2. PIC24J256GA110
    • This is a PIM that can be plugged-in at U10. The MCLR for the dsPIC® Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs) and the PIM are both connected to the same MCLR dsPIC_MCLRlow.

Only one PIC device can be connected at a time. Please reference the MCP3911 schematics in the user's guide which is available to download from the MCP3911 product page under Documents > User Guides.
