Should I use MPLAB® Harmony libraries or the MLA?

If you are using a 32-bit (PIC32) device, you should use the MPLAB® Harmony libraries.

All 8-bit (PIC18) and 16-bit (PIC24 and dsPIC® Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs)) devices will not be supported by MPLAB Harmony and will continue to use Microchip Libraries for Applications (MLA) for the foreseeable future. Also see, MCC.
