Git Installation

Follow the steps below to install Git on your computer.

Download Git.

Git supports variety of operating systems. Be sure to download the installer for your operating system.

Run the executable file. For best results, use the default selections for install options.

You can use Git on the command line or you can use one of the included GUI tools (git-gui, gitk). Also, there are several third-party tools for users looking for a platform-specific experience.
