Server Application Operation

Click Start Server to start the server and Stop Server to stop the server. See Remote USB Debugging Plugin Functions for information on items on the menus (Control and Help).

Communication status is reflected in the text box as well as the icon in the bottom right corner of the dialog box.

Icon Icon Color Meaning
ConnectorIndicator.png Black Server stopped or all tool connections terminated
Green Connection established
Blue Connection renewed
Red Error condition (bad connection, etc.)

Running across subnets is subject to the network policies of the organization by which the machines are administered.

If you find that the Server Name and the Server IP Address are the same, then this is a possible symptom that the hosts file is incorrectly setup. For how to edit the hosts file, see Hosts File Editing.
