Power Monitor Software Plugin Installation

To use the Power Monitor, you must install the Power Monitor plugin in MPLAB® X IDE.

Open MPLAB X IDE Plugins Window

Launch MPLAB X IDE and select Tools > Plugins to open the Plugins window.

Check Settings

Click the Settings tab. If Microchip Plugins is listed and checked under Active, proceed to Step 4. Otherwise, continue to Step 3.

Add Microchip Plugins Setting (If Needed)

Click on the Add button to open the Update Center Customizer dialog. Under Name enter Microchip Plugins and under URL enter: https://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/mplab/X/v3/plugins/updates.xml

Click OK. You should now see the Microchip Plugins listed under Configuration of Update Centers.

Select and Install Power Monitor Plugin

Click the Available Plugins tab, check Power Monitor and click Install. Follow the wizard dialogs to install the Power Monitor plugin.

Next Step: Setup Sofware

Proceed to Software Setup to set up the basic functions in MPLAB X IDE to use the Power Monitor.
