Open the Project Properties window.

Select REAL ICE under Categories.

Select Trace and Profiling from the Options Categories combo box

Choose data collection method from Data Collection Selection:
Instruction Trace / Profiling (PIC32)
User Instrumented Trace
PC Sampling
Function Level Profiling

Choose the data file name as well as the maximum file and buffer sizes

The maximum size of the data buffer (on board the emulator unit) is 54,600 bytes.
