Starter Kits and Microsticks
Microchip Starter Kits and Microsticks are low-cost development tools that combine a programmer/debugger with a simple demo board, often with expansion capabilities. These devices allow the user to run applications on PIC® MCUs without incurring the expense of obtaining both a programmer/debugger and a development board. Plus, they are all designed to work with MPLAB® X IDE.
The Microchip website contains the latest availability for both Starter Kits and Microsticks.
If you are using a PIC32 Starter Kit you can expand the I/O capabilities by obtaining one of the I/O expansion boards for the PIC32.
